WSU For Couples

Our very first project was WSU for couples. My husband had his office next to mine and I really do have to give him the credit for coming up with the idea. He came into my office and said, "We need to come up with a way to put you in a box." At that time they used to sell programs in a kit with CDs. He said it seems like I say the same thing over and over to all our couples. As I thought more about it, I didn't think it was possible. There are so many family dynamics, varying budgets, not to mention different cultural backgrounds and religions. 

Finding A Common Thread

The more we looked at it, the more I realized, that with all the differences, there are still many things that are still the same. So we began building the program.  As we came toward the completion of the project, I started to realize, they still should have a good qualified Day of Coordinator on the day of the wedding.  I started to worry that even though we created a very thorough planning program, the DOC could end up ruining the whole day we worked so hard to create.  So, I realized, it would be a good idea to create a certification program for the DOC, and we would recommend that our couples look for only someone who is WSU Certified.  

So we developed the program and then built our Certification Program initially as a complement to the Couples Course. Since then of course the program has evolved to be a stand-alone program as well as go with the couples program. Because you are familiar with the Certification Program, it will be easy to understand and explain how the Couples Course works. The couples course has the videos and downloadable forms and also has QuickTips, E-books-Tool Box, and the 911 audios. 

The course is for sale to couples, but I think it is much better suited as a tool for our Business Owners, Coordinators, and those who want to become Full-Service Planners. You can use the course yourself as a step-by-step guide to teach yourself how to be a full-service planner, or you can sell it to your clients and earn a commission off of every sale you make. We do have an affiliate code you can request and the monthly commissions are directly deposited right into your account. You will be free to market the program and use that to increase your own personal income. We do recommend becoming familiar with the program yourself so you can explain it yourself.  

The couples course has a self-discovery phase, a family meeting phase, and the actual vendor selection phases. It helps me learn how to pull together a budget, manage the guest list, and develop a timeline. If the couple follows it as it is designed they are sure to save themselves hundreds if not thousands of dollars. 

Through video, it walks them through the planning process and helps with issues that couples may face such as; should I invite children to the wedding, what if my fiance and I are not getting along, issues with the bridal party, and other common situations couples are faced with during their planning. 

Conclusion

The program is great to offer to your couples, but also will teach you the exact process The Queen of Weddings has been using for over 3 decades.

 The program can also be a great add-on to your package. You can advertise that you offer an online planning program with your DOC Packages.
